SEND Teacher – Specialist Provision (Primary)

A welcoming and well-supported primary school in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join its specialist provision this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment with small class sizes of 8–10 pupils, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. The provision caters for pupils with a range of needs, including Speech and Language difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering tailored, engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, supporting both their academic progress and personal development. Working closely with a skilled team of TAs and wider professionals, you will play a key role in creating a structured, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND needs
Support pupils’ communication, social skills and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and external professionals
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively
Create a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience working with SEND pupils, particularly ASC, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs

Strong behaviour management and communication skills
