JOB TITLE / ROLE:
SEND Learning Support Assistant required for Post 16 college, Greenwich - London - SE - Role: SEND Teacher Jobs
A large, diverse and well respected college is currently looking to recruit a long term LSA to support Post 16 students within the learning support department.
Despite not being a special school, the college does have a provision to support students with a range of SEND, including:
" Autism / Asperger's Syndrome
" Dyslexia / Dyscalculia / Dyspraxia
" Emotional and/or behaviour difficulties
" General Learning difficulties
" Mental health issues and Medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy)
This role would suit a bright, proactive and confident person who has experience teaching within a college setting. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a Post 16 or college setting.
The ability to commit to the placement for the duration of the school year is essential, as this ensures continuity for the students.
Furthermore, those with experience supporting students who are vulnerable and display challenging behaviour would be at a distinct advantage. This would be a great opportunity to build the experience required for those considering enrolling onto a PTTLS/DTTLS course, with mind to qualify as a Post 16 Teacher/Lecturer.
This is a temporary position.
