Job Title: SEND TA Tilehurst
Are you confident and eager to support children with Complex Needs, PMLD, ASD and other SEND? A special school in the Tilehurst area of Reading catering to 2-19 year olds is looking to take on multiple teaching assistants. Pupils attending the school have significant SEND and will require support with personal care. Successful candidates will be needed to work between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm, 5 days a week and will be paid from £87.04 per day. This role is long-term. The day-to-day responsibilities of successful candidates will include providing academic support within lessons, designing and carrying out stimulating educational activities, working 1:1 and in larger groups, providing personal care (toileting, changing, feeding) and running interventions with young people where required. Candidates will be assigned an age group and will have the opportunity to express their preference. There are no qualifications needed for this role. Some personal or professional experience working alongside children or adults with SEND is desirable but not mandatory – the most important qualities are flexibility, a passion for special education and resilience.
