SEND TA, Medical Needs, Manual Handling, personal Care, full time, Bristol This post is for an experienced specialist TA to work on a 1:1 basis for a year 11 disabled student. The student is almost completely paralysed however he can manoeuvre his electric wheelchair. He needs constant 1:1 support as he frequently needs his arms and legs moved but he uses eye gaze to work as independently as possible. The TA support has to set the eye gaze up at the beginning of every lesson as he moves around the building. He also has personal care so you would need manual handling, feeding (food) and intimate care training to be in place. This contract will be full time (8.45 - 15.10) from late March until he finishes his exams in mid / late June. If you are interested in this post you will need to be able to commit for the entire duration; consistency is particularly important to be considered for this post. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please apply with your full up to date CV with clear details of your experience relating to this post. This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
