JOB LOCATION:

JOB WORKING HOURS:
Full Time
Axcis are working with a special school in Runcorn, to recruit an experienced, resilient and passionate teaching assistant that has experience supporting Secondary aged pupils with intense challenging behaviors or ASD, ADHD and SEMH. The candidate must be available from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3:30, paying rate is £70-£75 per day. This is a full time role to support small groups of students across general curriculum, as well as entry level GCSE. The school caters for secondary pupils and groups the children according to ability rather than age, so you will need to be prepared to work with children from KS3 to KS4. You must be incredibly engaging and creative with SEND knowledge and dedicated to the children's needs. The ideal candidate will have high resilience and would have worked previously in an intense environment such as Youth Justice or Homeless Shelters. The school is a purpose built school with fantastic outside grounds, a secure environment to work in with great resources and a variety of lovely teaching assistants to work with. This is a great opportunity not to be missed! This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Rebecca Donnelly at Axcis Education on 0151 448 2810.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
