Job Title: SEND Teacher – Skills for Life (Specialist Setting)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a thriving specialist provision, supporting two small classes of students with a range of additional needs (ASD, ADHD, MLD). If you're enthusiastic about transforming young lives through practical, meaningful learning, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role:
You will lead the teaching of two classes:
• Year 7
• Year 13
Each class includes 6 students and the ideal candidate must feel comfortable delivering music sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons across maths, English, communication, music, cooking, and skills for life.
• Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic development.
• Use creative strategies to embed practical life skills and independence.
• Collaborate closely with support staff to meet a range of individual needs, including those with ASD, ADHD and MLD learning profiles.
• Assess and report on pupil progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching in a SEND or specialist education setting
• Experience teaching Skills for Life and using creative subjects (e.g music, cooking) to enhance learning
• Compassionate, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
