Job Title: SEND Primary School needs a TA - Start ASAP
London - Central
Full Time
A bright, proactive and reliable Teaching Assistant is required full time (5 days a week), to support a small class of students with a wide range of SEND within a primary special school setting. This outstanding special school caters for pupils from 2-11 years old in the London borough of Southwark. The school is committed to supporting students with SLD, PMLD, Complex Needs and ASD and prides itself on its ability to meet the individual needs of pupils, within a stimulating and vibrant environment. As a class Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a wide range of lessons, ensuring that pupils' educational, emotional and physical needs are met. As a consequence, the ideal Teaching Assistant will be expected to provide personal care for students. Furthermore, those with knowledge of using PECS, Makaton and alternative communication aids are encouraged to apply. This position is best suited to an experienced SEND TA; looking to tackle a new challenge within a respected primary SEND school. The successful candidate will be dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and willing to 'go the extra mile' to support students to achieve their ambitions. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Francisco Freire at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
