Job Title: SEND Classroom Support
Axcis Education are operating on behalf of a well-respected and loved Primary School, seeking to appoint several SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September 2025 in the Altrincham area.
The school is in need of dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join their SEN Team, to support their pupils with additional needs, from Reception to Year 3.
The school are seeking an engaging and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their motivated team. This school offers a warm and inclusive environment, they provide bespoke, child-centered, high-quality education programmes, which aim to ensure that all the student's individual educational needs are met.
We are looking for positive, caring, and patient TA who have experience supporting children or young adults who have learning difficulties, Autism, SEMH and ADHD. We would ideally be seeking a person with experience supporting children in their Speech and Language and/or using PECS or Makaton.
To be successful in the role of SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Have a caring and nurturing attitude
• Have a thorough understanding of supporting pupils with SEND
• Have experience of supporting children with communication needs
• Have experience of using PECS, and/or Makaton
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Desirable (but not necessary!) qualifications/experience:
- Level 2 TA Qualification or 2 years equivalent experience
