Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants
Experienced Teaching Assistants – Special Needs All-Through School – South Harrow A well-established and inclusive all-through special educational needs (SEN) school in South Harrow is seeking to appoint experienced and committed Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of complex needs. These full-time roles are available with start dates in May and June, offering the opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and supportive team. Successful candidates will work predominantly with students learning at a Key Stage 1 level, many of whom have diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role will involve providing tailored support, both inside and outside the classroom, to help pupils access learning, manage their emotions, and develop independence. Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, individualised support to students with ASD and SEMH Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities Implement behaviour support strategies and promote positive relationships Support pupils with personal care and daily routines where required Contribute to the overall development and well-being of the students Essential Requirements: Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASD and SEMH Previous work experience in a primary school or early years setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and flexible in a dynamic environment Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Working Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only Please note: Part-time applications will not be considered.
