SEN Teaching Assistant
Wigan | Axcis Education | £93 per day | Part-time & Full-time
Axcis Education is looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of school settings in Wigan. These roles offer the opportunity to support individuals with SEND through 1:1, small-group and classroom-based support.
We are looking for reliable, proactive and adaptable candidates who have a genuine passion for SEND and can confidently meet individual needs.
The role may include:
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Supporting learning, communication and independence.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Adapting support to meet individual needs.
• Working closely with teachers and school staff.
Essential requirements:
• Minimum 6 months' personal or professional SEND experience.
• Overseas candidates must have at least 3 months' relevant UK experience.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Reliable ability to commute to Wigan.
• Availability approximately 8:30am–3:30pm.
• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach.
