As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and SEND professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other learning differences. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs. • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and confidence. • Help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills. • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents to provide consistent support. • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from people who have: • Experience working with children or young people, either in schools or other settings. • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Patience, resilience and a positive attitude. • The ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
