Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Start ASAP or January 2026)
Location: Greater Manchester and surrounding areas
Pay: £90–£110 per day (dependant on experience)
Start date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school environment? Axcis Education is currently recruiting dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistants to join our partner primary schools across Greater Manchester. Positions are available to start immediately or from the New Year.
Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of additional needs, including:
• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, language, and communication needs
• Social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH)
• Moderate learning difficulties (MLD)
You’ll work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, helping pupils engage in lessons, build confidence, and achieve their individual learning goals. This may include 1:1 support, small group interventions, or in-class assistance.
Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or personal)
• A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Availability for full-time, term-time work.
