A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camden is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the life of a pupil with additional needs.
In this role, you will provide one-to-one support for a primary-aged student with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), who also presents with challenging behaviour. You will play a vital part in supporting the pupil’s learning, emotional regulation, and engagement throughout the school day, while working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement effective strategies tailored to their individual needs.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in a UK primary school and a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will be confident in managing behaviour within an educational setting, demonstrating a calm, patient, and resilient approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff are essential.
