SEN Teaching Assistant, Secondary Autism (ASC), Langport - Somerset - Role: SEND TA Jobs
A large secondary school in Yeovil requires a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work within the schools Autism (ASC) resource base. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) will have experience working with secondary aged students. Those with experience working with young people affected with Autism (ASC) and Asperger's Syndrome will be at an advantage. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification or equivalent is highly desirable. Furthermore, the successful SEN TA will have a minimum Grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level.
This is a full time, temporary role (8:30am-3:30pm), 5 days (Mon-Fri) a week. However the position does have the potential to be come permanent for the right candidate. Therefore, the ability to commit to this placement is essential as it is a great 'foot in the door'!
The school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) who is team player, who is calm, patient, reliable and can follow instruction. You must have a passion for working with young people with SEN (ASC) and have the drive and determination required to make a difference.
