Job Title: SEN Teacher, MLD / SLD - Gloucester
JOB WORKING HOURS:

Axcis have a vacancy for a SEND Teacher at a well respected specialist residential college in Gloucester working with students with SLD / MLD aged 16-22.
This specialist college uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. It's large and well resourced school with a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated on the outskirts of Gloucester and with excellent links to public transport, the school is easily accessible.
The role will be to teach and support a class of 7 students who are currently working on Entry Level 1. The class is also supported a approx 4 TAs within the classroom.
This is a full-time, term-time only role starting at the end of Febuary 2020 until at least Easter. Hours are 8.30 to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with a daily pay rate of £120.
" Planning lessons
" Leading a class and providing much needed stability
" Supporting teaching assistants
" Assessing and recording students' progress, preparing reports and taking part in parental consultations
" Undergoing in-service training where required
" Observing and implementing current school policies and good practice
" Contributing to pupil progress across the whole school
The ideal candidate will have
" A flexible and resourceful approach to teaching
" You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
" Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
" The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
" Strong experience of working with PMLD / Complex Needs Students
" A minimum of 12 months of teaching experience
" Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
" Enhanced DBS/Police checks
