Axcis are currently recruiting for an SEN Kindergarten Teaching Assistant to working within a Kindergarten which is part of a large all-through academy in Exeter.
The kindergarten is set within beautiful wooded grounds with a large outdoor play area and a purpose built building. The children, aged from 2 to 5 follows predictable pattern, alternating child-led time with a teacher-led activity. They have a period of free play which can take place inside or out, and alongside a particular activity such as baking, painting or handicraft.
The role is to support a 3 year old boy that exhibits challenging behaviour and may have ADHD or ASD. You will be a nurturing role model, mentor and daily support to the child and will need to be able to quickly build rapport with them.
This is a long term temporary role until July 2020. Hours are 8.30pm to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. The daily pay rate in £75 per day.

" Involvement in feeding, changing & general hygiene
" Organising and supervising activities include painting, drawing, crafts and cooking
" Delivering learning opportunities and exceptional care that will help the child to develop
" Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children
" Make accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the child
The successful SEN Kindergarten Teaching Assistant will need
" Hold a L3 childcare qualification or BA in Education with a good knowledge of the EYFS
" Have previous SEND Early Years' experience either In a school or similar child care environment
" Be committed to your role and responsibilities as an SEN Kindergarten Teaching Assistant
" Have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to teaching small group and 1:1 sessions
" Confident and capable making and recording significant observations
