An alternative provision based in Southwark which caters for young people across Key Stages 2 -4 who have been permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or require additional support to positively transition them back into mainstream education are looking for learning support assistants to join them in September 2019. The ideal teaching assistant will be energetic and creative and be able to motivate and inspire pupils within their care. The role involves supporting young people between the ages of 7 to 16 (KS2/4) successfully engage in learning, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will ideally have previous experience dealing with SEMH and Challenging behaviour. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential. This is an amazing position for someone who is passionate about working with students with challenging behaviour and an opportunity to be a positive role model and make a real difference. This is a full-time role to start in September 2019 and will continue on for the rest of the academic year. About the role: o SEMH Teaching Assistant o Full time (Mon-Fri) The ideal candidate: o Experience working with pupils aged between 7 - 16 years old (Key Stages 2 - 4) o Experience with SEMH or EBD o Team Teach- not essential but highly desirable.
