Job Title: SEMH Behaviour Support Mentor
Axcis Education is looking for a support work/learning support assistant to join a secondary school in Stockport. This is full time and to start as soon as possible. The role is to support children with SEMH who have low self confidence in their learning ability or low self esteem due to difficult family/home life. So not only are we looking for someone who can hold their own to any tough behaviours but also be a cheer leader in a journey of rediscovery in their education. Most students will have the ability there - but often will not try simply because they don't think can do it. The goal here is to get them back to engage in their school life. If you are looking for challenge but really want to make a real difference to young lives that need someone to believe in them again - this may be just the job for you.
