You will need to be able to teach basic skills and if you can also teach other subjects that would be an added bonus. The school are looking for a secondary Science teacher who is calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage. The successful candidate will have QTS and a PGCE be available to work immediately. You will need to do a new DBS with us unless you have one on the update service.
Axcis offers competitive rates of pay and candidate care which is second to none and many of our consultants are ex-teachers or support staff with SEND experience, giving Axcis unparalleled knowledge of the sector. Axcis offers excellent training opportunities, including CPD training sessions on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management and Non-verbal Communication, to name but a few.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
