I am working with a lovely SEND school in the Thornbury area that are looking to appoint a proactive, qualified teacher with a flexible work approach. They are looking for primary, secondary and an FE teacher.
The basic outlinf of the job is to plan and deliver an appropriate curriculum to all pupils in the class. To identify individual needs, to provide effective teaching and be responsible for creating a therapeutic, safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment that enables pupils to succeed in their learning.
To identify individual needs of pupils with demand avoidance and challenging behaviour who struggle to take part in conventional classroom learning with their peer group.
To provide effective teaching and be responsible for creating a therapeutic, safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment that enables a pupil to succeed in their learning. To develop and maintain a suitable programme with flexibility and creativity in delivering teaching.
Education and training (essential):
- Diploma or Degree level qualifications in Education or Teaching
- First Aid qualification
Work Experience (essential):
- Previous experience of working with people with learning difficulties
- Previous experience in managing challenging behaviour
This is a full time and permanent role, you will likely be taken on straight away through the school.
If you have Team Teach, PRICE, MAPA training or equivalent this is highly regarded.
