Nursery Teacher (QTS) – Monday Only – Full Academic Year Location: Elmbridge Start Date: ASAP Salary: £150–£180 per day Contract: Part-Time, Every Monday, Term Time Only Commitment: Full academic year We are seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher with QTS to join a Primary School Nursery every Monday for the full academic year. This role would suit an experienced EYFS practitioner who is looking for a consistent part-time position and can commit to working every Monday for the duration of the academic year. The Role You will lead a well-supported Nursery class of children aged 3–5 years, delivering high-quality EYFS provision and creating a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. You will support children's learning and development through play-based activities, focused teaching and child-led exploration. Working hours: 7:45am–4:30pm every Monday. This includes time for preparation, record keeping and classroom organisation. No marking is required. Nursery Environment 26 children currently on roll, with numbers expected to increase Children aged 3–5 years 3 support staff working within the classroom Inclusive setting with children of varying needs and abilities One child with high-level SEN needs who is non-verbal and supported by a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant Nappy changing duties form part of the role A Typical Nursery Day Arrival and settling activities Child-initiated choosing time Carpet sessions and focused teaching Snack time Indoor and outdoor learning opportunities Lunch provision within the Nursery setting Story time and end-of-day reflection The Nursery follows a child-centred approach, with play, exploration, language development and social interaction at the heart of learning. Requirements Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching within a Primary School Nursery Strong knowledge and practical experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Good classroom management and organisational skills Understanding of child development and early learning Ability to work effectively as part of an Early Years team Ability to commit to every Monday for the full academic year Personal Qualities Kind, patient and caring approach Passion for supporting young children's development Positive and enthusiastic attitude Strong communication and relationship-building skills Commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment What We Offer Welcoming and supportive school environment Experienced support staff within the classroom Well-established Nursery provision Consistent Monday-only teaching schedule Opportunity to build strong relationships with children and families throughout the academic year No marking requirements Potential for additional work within the school, subject to availability and suitability Interviews are being arranged as soon as possible.
