Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well respected pupil referral unit in Central Bridgwater working with a child with challenging behaviour aged 7. Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, this fantastic pupil referral unit uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The pupil referral unit has extensive grounds and the children are encouraged to do activities such as horse riding, swimming and gardening. Situated in central Bridgwater and with excellent links to public transport the school is easily accessible.
The role starts ASAP and is five days a week, full time and will go on till the end of the academic year. The position is general in-class support - you must have a calm demeanour and resilient nature. Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour is essential and we would love to hear from you if you have training and experience using Team Teach techniques.
