Axcis Education are working with a SEND school in Knowsley, to recruit an experienced, resilient and engaging SEND teacher that has experience teaching with primary aged pupils with autism who can display very challenging behaviour.
This is a part time role to teach small groups of pupils across general curriculum, with a focus in KS2.
The school cater for primary aged pupils with a range of SEND and ASC and group the children according to ability rather than age, so you will need to be prepared to work with children from KS1 and KS2.
This school provide a creative & nurturing learning environment, in addition to a range of therapies that support student social development.
The candidate must be passionate and dedicated in their job role. The school have a lovely group of teaching assistants who will support and assist you in the classroom. For this role, it is essential that you have QTS and prior experience in managing challenging behaviour with a compassionate and child centred approach.
This is a temporary position.
