Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
PMLD Teaching Assistant – Further Education (Edgware)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to support learners in a further education setting in Edgware. This role is available on a full-time basis, with additional opportunities for day-to-day placements.
This is a highly rewarding role supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them access education in a meaningful and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
Assist students with sensory activities, communication, and engagement
Support with personal care, mobility, and feeding where required
Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver personalised learning plans
Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with PMLD, SEN, or complex needs (preferred but not essential)
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Confidence supporting personal care and physical needs
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
