Permanent LSA required for an SEND school in South West London - London - SW - Role: SEN TA Jobs
Are you an experienced SEND learning support assistant?
My client is a lovely special educational needs and disabilities school in the heart of South West London. They are looking for an exceptional SEND learning support assistant that has experience working with children with special needs. The suitable candidate will be working with primary aged children either 1:1 or in small groups. The school has a fantastic support structure and offers excellent resources for all staff that work there. The school takes education very seriously and, sets high expectations in all subjects and, feel that teaching assistants are a key part of the student's development.
To carry out all duties, as directed by the class teachers to maximise learning opportunities for all children and young people
To support the development of high standards of personal hygiene and self help skills for all children and young people
To support the development of communication skills by implementing communication goals in collaboration with all departments
To assist with target setting, record keeping and assessment in classes
To participate in, and complete reports for, Statutory Reviews and meetings concerning the children and young people
To assist with the preparation of materials and learning resources
To work with individual children, young people and groups under the direction and planning of the teachers
The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant that has worked with physically challenging Autistic children in a primary aged special needs environment. You will need to be adaptable and flexible and, be able to develop good relationships with the children that you are working with. You will also need to hold an up to date DBS/CRB and have two contactable referees dated within the last 2 years.
