Part - Time Teaching Assistant, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Support, Birmingham.
I am currently looking for a part - time teaching assistant to work in alternative provisions, mainstream schools and pupil referral units local to the Birmingham area. This candidate will be working with 7-11 year olds so the right candidate for us will have Team Teach and be available to work part - time, for 6 weeks. This job is perfect for someone who is a parent or carer as they need someone who can offer 16 hours a week, afternoons only.
A small primary school (one form entry) with a generous staff car park and fantastic public transport links. The right candidate will have experience with working with children who have social, emotional and mental health. I have spoken to staff within the school and they have all stated that it is a great atmosphere to work in with support from the very start.
A successful candidate for this part - time job must have Team Teach and at least a year in a classroom or care setting. Management of actual or potential aggression is preferred but not essential. Axcis will support you with the range of CPD courses and online courses them off. The staff are friendly and supportive so make sure you apply now as this role is expected to not be around for long.
