Axcis Education are working in partnership with a primary school near Exmouth who are keen to recruit a 1-1 Teaching Assistant that is committed to supporting and nurturing a reception age pupil with ASD and challenging behaviour.
This part time, long-term role will be for mornings only initially to focus on integrating the pupil into a lesson based environment. This is a safe and encouraging environment where the pupils are nurtured and supported to reach their full potential though a range of highly engaging lessons and activities.
The role involves working on a 1-1 to support the pupils learning and managing behaviour. This role is from Monday to Friday starting on April 14th for the summer term (term time only) with the following hours: 8.45am to 11.45am each day. Free parking is available.
The successful 1-1 Learning Support Assistant should:
" Be resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
" Have a caring and compassion approach
" Have an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding guidelines
" Understand the delicate nature of working with pupils with behavioural difficulties.
" Have the drive to consistently engage pupils with creative activities
" Be able to provide evidence of successful experiences from working with reception or early year pupils with additional learning needs
