Job Title: Part-Time Mainstream Primary School, SEND Teaching Assistant, Camden
London - North
We require a part-time SEND teaching assistant to work with one of our amazing mainstream primary schools in the Camden area. This role will require you to offer one-to-one support to students with moderate special needs (MLD). The students will need support with their KS2 studies, and the school will require someone who can offer 20 hours per week. This is a medium sized mainstream primary school with excellent links to public transport, with the nearest station just a 5 minute walk away. You will also have access to a large staff car park that is located on the school site. The school offers professional training throughout the academic year which includes; communication and interaction, cognition and learning, sensory and physical needs, & social, emotional and mental health. To be considered for this part-time SEND teaching assistant role, you will have had previous experience of working with children in either a mainstream or SEND primary school setting. However, no qualifications are required for this specific role. The school is a fun and exciting place and as a result, they are searching for a personable individual who can bring about a bright and enjoyable experience for students and staff alike. If you are interested, then please contact Jake Aujla at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
