Looking for your next challenge in SEND? Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well respected special primary school in Vale of Glamorgan. This a diverse, vibrant and urban school that has a strong team of permanent staff who can support agency supply. They are looking for an experienced TA who has experience in supporting pupils who have complex needs and who understand the challenges and joys of working with young children who have SLD, physical disabilities, severe challenging behaviour. The role is temporary with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school is a popular special school with a great reputation and is well resourced, with interactive whiteboard in most classrooms. This fantastic primary school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The position is general in-class support - you may be expected to work one to one, in small groups or providing general in-class support as required. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people. You will be required to work with small groups of secondary age pupils, assisting them with their literacy and numeracy skills and helping to keep them on task.
