Job Title: Midday Supervisor
Job Title: Midday Supervisor (SEN) Location: Havering Contract Type: Part-time Hours: 11.30- 1.30 Monday–Friday Job Summary: Axcis is working with a Primary School in Havering, who are looking for a caring, patient, and reliable Midday Supervisor to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) during the lunchtime period. The role involves supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and other areas, ensuring a safe, calm, and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: • Support SEN pupils with eating, personal care, or mobility needs during lunchtime. • Supervise children in the dining area, playground, and/or classroom depending on individual needs. • Encourage positive social interactions and promote inclusive play. • Implement strategies to manage behaviour in line with individual behaviour support plans. • Provide calm and reassuring support during transitions and sensory difficulties. • Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to senior staff or the SENCO. • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure continuity of care. Requirements: • A genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs. • Patience, empathy, and good communication skills. • Ability to follow safeguarding and school behaviour policies. • Experience working with children with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, or physical disabilities. • Basic knowledge of first aid. • Training in de-escalation or behaviour support (e.g. Team Teach or equivalent).
