One of our mainstream primary schools based in Warrington is currently looking for a confident and motivated teaching assistant to offer 1:1 support to a pupil in a year 3, who has ASC - Autism Spectrum Condition.
The school will require a teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children who have ASC and preferably with recent 1:1 support experience within a primary school setting. You will be familiar with the national curriculum, and have an understanding of non-verbal communication techniques such as PECS and Makaton.
The school is a fun and exciting place to work and as a result, they are searching for a personable individual who can bring enjoyment to the classroom for pupils and staff alike. This is a full-time vacancy for the summer term, so if you feel you have the relevant experience and skills please apply for this position at your earliest convenience.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
