Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
LSA Learning Support Assistant – full-time
Axcis Education is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a mainstream school in Swindon to support a student in a year 1 class with SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs). The student has some challenging behaviours, so the school are looking for someone who can build a strong relationship with the student and support them in school.
The school are looking for someone with experience working with SEN children, individuals with mental health needs, or KS1 pupils.
These are desirable, however not essential as the school are prioritising the right candidate for the student: someone calm, patient and consistent who can work in a busy environment. The student is very bright, but needs support to focus and complete work. They are very affectionate, but need support in practicing appropriate personal space with their peers.
The school need someone full time, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 15.30. The role is on a supply basis whilst the school find the right candidate for the long-term post, so therefore this could become permanent for the right candidate.
