Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Title: Part-Time Learning Support Assistant (Year 2) Location: Private School, near Ladbroke Grove Station, West London Start Date: Trial first week September start 2nd week Hours: Part- time (timetable TBC) Are you passionate about phonics, early maths, and empowering young learners in Year. Axcis are seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our well-resourced private school near Ladbroke Grove. You will play a key role in building children’s foundations in literacy and numeracy, encouraging independence, and supporting inclusive classroom dynamics. In this role, you’ll provide structured support in phonics lessons—ideally using Read Write Inc or similar programs -alongside assisting with maths activities and other curriculum areas. You’ll work 1:1 with a child in year with SEND need such as ASD. In the role you will be adapting resources to meet the child's needs and collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO. Your contributions are essential to helping children gain confidence, independence, and academic progress in a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates will have: – Experience as an LSA or TA in Key Stage?1 (Year2), including phonics and maths – A calm, flexible approach to working with pupils with additional needs, including suspected ASD or ADHD – The ability to foster independence—teaching routines, self-care skills, and learning strategies – Strong teamwork skills, liaising effectively with class staff, therapists, and leadership – Enhanced DBS clearance (Update Service preferred) and availability for full academic year Requirements -Need an Enhanced DBS on update service -Experience with phonics -Knowledge of UK curriculum - Experience working with primary aged students with SEND Why join us?
