Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Axcis Education is looking for an experienced learning support assistant to support within a mainstream high school in the Tameside area of Manchester. You will need to be resilient and willing to get stuck in. This school has fantastic facilities including sensory rooms and breakout rooms. Alongside, having fantastic connections to public transport. This role is long term, full time and is to start in September. You will need to - Work with groups of students under the supervision of the teacher Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities Give regular feedback on student’s progress to the class teacher and file records Establish good relationships with students, taking on role model by presenting a positive personal image and responding appropriately to individual needs Attend to student’s personal needs, including minor first aid and assist in the pastoral, social health, physical hygiene development and welfare matters Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students Encourage students to act independently as appropriate You will need to be experienced supporting children or vulnerable adults, however not necessarily in a school environment. Axcis offers free CDP and safeguarding training, along with competitive rates of pay.
