Job Title: Learning Support Assistant, Exeter, SEN Academy
Axcis Education is working alongside a specialist Academy in Exeter. The school has an exciting new opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant with experience of support pupils with additional learning needs and SEMH, to start as soon as possible. You will need to have previous experience of working with children who have ASD and SEMH. All pupils in this academy also have hearirg impairments but BSL or the ability to sign is not required. However f you possess either of these skills it would be advantageous. Your SEND skills combined with your positive and enthusiastic approach to working in partnership with the class teacher will provide the means for the pupil to reach their potential in the classroom. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher as you will be partly responsible for encouraging the positive emotional, social and academic development of the pupil. The school is easily reached in the EX2 area and has a superb reputation as being an employer that offers great development opportunities. The role is a Monday to Friday position with a start time of 8.30am to 3.30pm. You will be paid a daily rate of £75 per day. The role is to start ASAP and is until the end of the academic year in 2020. This is a temporary position.
