Axcis are currently looking for SEN mentors to work in the Kingston and Richmond boroughs. Below is a summary of what's available and what attributes we are looking for in our mentors. We have both part time and full time roles in both secondary and primary settings so regardless of your skill set and availability if suitable we will have a role for you! Essential " SEND and/or Mentor experience in primary and/or secondary setting " Understanding of SEND needs and challenging behaviour " Empathetic, easy to talk to " Consistent " Excellent timekeeping " Ability to write and file simple clearly written reports " Able to liaise professionally with Head teachers and SLT " Willing to travel to different schools across the two boroughs Desirable " Experience in SEMH setting and/or with pupils with challenging behaviour " Experience in running mentoring programmes These roles will start in September. Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
