Job Title: Learning Coach
Axcis Education are looking for a Learning Coach to join an Alternative Provision in Exeter, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, behavioural needs and SEMH. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8:45am–4:15pm, for someone who who can be a role model getting students to re-engage with learning and reach their potential.
As a Learning Coach you will work closely with pupils in the classroom, providing targeted support to help them stay motivated, regulated and focused on their learning. You will act as a positive role model, building strong relationships, promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and independence. The role requires flexibility, patience and a calm, consistent approach in a dynamic alternative provision setting.
Applicants must be able to drive and own their own vehicle, as travel will be required as part of the role. Successful candidates will need to obtain business insurance for their vehicle. Previous experience working with young people with additional needs is desirable, but the most important qualities are commitment, reliability and a genuine desire to make a difference.
The school if successful offer permanent contracts after 16 working weeks and have in house premotion's for people to build their career in the SEND industry.
