Primary Supply Teacher Job in Cheam, Sutton
We are currently recruiting for a Primary Supply Teacher to support a lovely and welcoming primary school within the LEO Academy Trust in Cheam, Sutton.
This is an ad-hoc supply teaching opportunity, with weekly day-to-day shifts available depending on the school's requirements and your availability. The school is happy to consider teachers who are confident teaching across KS1 and KS2, making this a great option for teachers looking for flexible primary supply work.
There is also potential for regular ongoing work and longer-term opportunities for teachers who are a good fit for the school.
The Role
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:
Provide day-to-day classroom cover across KS1 and KS2
Deliver engaging lessons following the school's plans and curriculum
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different pupils
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
Use Google Classroom to support teaching and learning

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Previous experience teaching in a UK primary school
Confident teaching across KS1 and/or KS2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to quickly adapt to different classrooms and year groups
Comfortable using Google Classroom or willing to learn
Passion for primary education and supporting pupils to succeed
Reliable and flexible approach to supply teaching
