Job Title: HLTA/Cover Supervisor - SEND
HLTA / Cover Supervisor – School in the Swanley Area
A small, nurturing day school in the Swanley area is seeking a HLTA / Cover Supervisor to join its supportive team working with young people aged 8–16.
The school provides a structured, safe environment with a personalised, adapted curriculum focused on vocational learning, kinaesthetic approaches, and social and emotional development. Students are supported through clear routines, high expectations, and strong, positive relationships.
The Role
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide class cover when required
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Maintain a calm, consistent learning environment with clear boundaries
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCo, care staff, and families
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEND
• Confident leading a class and managing behaviour positively
• Calm, reliable, and committed to student wellbeing and progress
