Key Responsibilities: - Lead our SEND base and run targeted intervention sessions in the afternoons to support students with particular learning needs. - Facilitate morning therapeutic and focus sessions across all year groups, including Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to promote engagement and concentration. - Work with non-verbal learners and those who may have additional challenges, using appropriate communication techniques and educational strategies. - Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other professionals to assess, plan, and track the progress of individual students. - Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment that caters to a range of learning styles and needs. - Demonstrate resilience, empathy, patience, and reliability in all interactions with students and staff. - Maintain excellent spoken and written English to effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents. Essential Requirements: - Hold an HLTA qualification or higher. - A current DBS on the update service. - Experience working with non-verbal students and learners with a range of SEND requirements. - Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture a trusting and supportive atmosphere. - Proven capacity to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
