Job Title: Health & Social Care Learning Support Assistant
LSA – SEND Support (Mainstream College, Plumstead) A mainstream college in Plumstead is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with high needs studying IT and Health & Social Care. This is a full-time, classroom-based role focused on behavioural support. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm The Role: • Provide in-class support for students with SEND and high needs • Support positive behaviour, engagement, and participation • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans • Help students develop academic, social, and independent learning skills • Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Requirements: • Experience supporting young people with SEND, ideally in a college or classroom setting • Confident in managing challenging behaviour • Patient, resilient, and proactive • Commitment to helping students achieve their potential This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a mainstream college, supporting students to succeed in both their studies and personal development.
