Job Title: Full-Time Special Primary School, PMLD Teaching Assistant, Enfield
London - North
We require a full-time teaching assistant to work with one of our ambitious special primary schools based in Enfield. This role will require you to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in year 4 who has PMLD. This is a small sized special primary school with multiple transport links, with the closest station being only a short walk away. The school have parking and wheelchair access on site as a number of the pupils have mobility problems. Speech & communication services are also offered as part of the support network at the school. To be considered for this full-time PMLD teaching assistant role, you will have had previous experience of working with children with PMLD in a special primary school setting. In order to support the needs of the pupil you will require training in moving and handling, as well as experience in non-verbal communication. The school carries a warm and friendly atmosphere and as a result, they are seeking a positive individual who can bring about an upbeat and fun experience for students and staff alike. If you are interested, then please contact Jake Aujla at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
