Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Walthamstow (E17)
Start Date: End of September 2025
Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Walthamstow (E17) is seeking an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from the end of September 2025.
In this key role, you’ll work closely with students who have a range of complex needs — including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and behavioural challenges. You’ll provide tailored support through a mix of 1:1 and small group interventions, helping to build trust, improve engagement, and foster emotional development.
We’re looking for someone who:
-Has solid experience supporting young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, and trauma
-Is confident in delivering mentoring and emotional regulation strategies
-Brings a calm, reliable, and proactive attitude
-Has strong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour positively
