Axcis education is working with a large college in North Oldham who are looking to appoint a special education needs and disabilities teaching assistant to work with a number of pupils with additional needs. The college in question is a mainstream college which houses around 10,000 students and you will be working in a class size of 24.
This is a full time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4:00pm
The college has specialist facilities for a variety of courses, including Early Years Education, Health and Social Care, Construction and Digital and Creative Studies.
The school requirements:
-You must have experience working with young adults
-DBS checked and on the update service, or be willing to process a new one
-Someone who is passionate about working with young adults
- The successful SEND teaching assistant will have experience working on a 1:1 basis with students who have speech and language difficulties, global delay or SEMH
-To be supportive to both staff and students
-To fully equip students with the tools they need to shape their future career
