Axcis Education are excited to be working in close partnership with a supportive and dynamic alternative provision academy near Totnes. The school is looking for a passionate Food Technology Instructor/HLTA to join their dedicated team starting in January.
Role: Food Technology Instructor/HLTA
Start Date: January 2024
Location: Near Totnes
Working Days: Monday to Thursday (4 days a week)
Salary: £85 - £100 per day.
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering food technology interventions while also supporting students as a teaching assistant. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about food technology and want to make a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Some students may have experienced trauma, and your support will be key to helping them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
What We Are Looking For:
-A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or relevant experience.
-Experience supporting food technology lessons in a SEND or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
-Passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs and trauma backgrounds.
-Flexible, empathetic, and dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges.
