Job Title: EYFS Kindergarten Teaching Assistant - Exeter
Axcis are seeking a qualified EYFS Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant in a kindergarten attached to the mainstream school to support children aged 2 - 4 years old. This is a full time role, from 8:30 - 4:30, Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £75 per day. The kindergarten has a beautiful forest school and garden where they encourage the children to play outside and understand nature. They also have great facilities for the children to embark on new and exciting activities such as a range of musical instruments, arts and crafts and an important ethos and value system. The school believe in spiritual and personal growth and incorporating these beliefs from an early age. The successful candidate will need to have experience working in a nursery setting and be experienced in supporting children that may display challenging behaviour. Due to the ethos of the school, 50% of the pupils have an additional need. Working in the Kindergarten you may have to monitor the children in the early stages of diagnosis. Other responsibilities include, meal time assistance, messy play, monitoring early development, personal care and forest school learning. Working with Axcis you will have your very own mentor to assist your working needs, as well as training opportunities for future progression which look fantastic on a CV for people wanting a career in childcare.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
