Job Title: Exeter Graduates - Teaching Assistant
Axcis are looking for all Education graduates. Are you on the lookout for experience within the SEND sector to improve your career prospects? Axcis want to hear from you. We work with a number of mainstream, SEND schools, pupil referral units and alternative provisions within the area. We have some 1-1 positions as well as general in-class support; many of our roles are extended into longer term and permanent contracts for people who make a good impression. The suitable candidate will have a passion to work with pupils with special needs for this role and you will have a real desire to make a difference. You will need to be adaptable, flexible and able to develop good relationships with the children you are working with. You could be working with children with disabilities such as autism, aspergers, ADHD, Downs syndrome, Cerebral Palsy to name a few. You may be expected to undertake personal care. Axcis offers competitive rates of pay and candidate care and you will have a professional consultant who will be your personal point of contact throughout your time working for us. Axcis offers excellent training opportunities, including CPD training sessions on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management and Non-verbal Communication, to name but a few. This opportunity does not come everyday, so please apply immediately if you are interested! This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Kirsty OReilly at Axcis Education on .

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
