Axcis Education is looking to recruit Ex Service Personnel who have a desire to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in a range of different educational settings across Chester. We have a variety of different roles available for retired Police Officers and Ex-Army personnel who are looking to find a new career in a rewarding and challenging working environment.
The children you will be supporting will have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including, Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Challenging Behaviour, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). You will be required to support the children or young people in your care either on a 1 to 1 basis or help provide whole class support.
To be considered for this role you must:
Be Ex-Service Personnel
Be fully discharged
Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS
Be able to provide two references to cover the last two years
Challenge and motivate students to promote self-esteem.
Arrange and develop 1-1 mentoring programmes to support students in managing their own classroom behaviour and learning.
Meeting individual children or small groups to support them through withdrawal from classes or through meetings arranged at other times in the school day.
Support teaching staff with appropriate strategies when dealing with challenging behaviour.
In liaison with teaching staff, plan, prepare and deliver the support needed, developing strategies to achieving positive behavioural outcomes.
