Axcis Education is working with an SEMH school in Taunton who are seeking to appoint a calm and enthusiastic qualified English teacher who has a strong commitment to driving forward children's learning. This post presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher looking for their next role. We would be happy to hear from you if you have a SEN background or indeed if you are from a mainstream setting and looking to venture in to a challenging environment. The role itself will involve teaching pupils with autism, complex needs and SEMH in and out of the classroom. You will be expected to contribute to achieving the vision and aims of the school. This role involves teaching both KS3 and KS4 students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified English teacher to join a thriving school on a temp to perm basis.
The school benefits from a group of talented, specialist staff who provides excellent support and endeavour to provide a happy learning environment. The school is very bright and cheerful with a wonderful family atmosphere, so a sense of humour is a must to apply for this role.
The ideal candidate will be able to visit the school before February half term, however, candidates who can only start after the February break would also be welcome to apply.
" To plan for the teaching and learning of the National Curriculum in line with the school's curriculum, planning, teaching and learning and assessment policies.
" To undertake the pastoral and the administrative duties for the pupils in the class.
" To support the Behaviour Policy throughout the school.
" To act as a tutor for students including undertaking assessment, tracking progress and personal development.
