English Teacher Autism Provision- Cheltenham - Gloucestershire - Role: SEND Teacher Jobs
Looking for your next challenge in SEND? Do you have experience teaching children with autism? If you are an english teacher who has taught children who have autism in any capacity and can support, guide and positively influence them we would love to hear from you. We're recruiting an English teacher for the coming academic year. The role is full time and temporary with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will need to be a good role model, be resilient and remain calm under pressure. If challenging behaviour doesn't faze you and you have the skills to de escalate stressful situations you would be prefect for our roles. Those able to use makaton will be at and advantage as some of the children have limited speech. The provision is situated just outside Gloucester and is difficult to access using public transport so the school would prefer a teacher who can drive.The provision is well resourced and very welcoming and supportive. It has beautiful grounds and the children are encouraged to take part in outdoor activities. If you're able to teach other subjects you will be at an advantage.
We provide day to day cover and long term positions in mainstream, special needs and residential schools as well as pupil referral units. Axcis can offer you competitive rates of pay, the general day rate for teachers is £110.
